Turbine Industries has dealt in "difficult" music since 1987. "Difficult" in my definition could mean just about anything from harsh noise to ambient scum to cut-up collages. But most of all, it's music that is "difficult" to describe. You can read all about Turbine's history by clicking here.

For many years, Turbine featured a mailorder catalog with a variety of noise, junk, cut-up, experimental and other "difficult" music from The Haters to Jeph Jerman's Blowhole to Blunt Force Trauma. As the noise scene became increasingly watered down with basement mama's boys Merzbow wannabes and name-dropping, trend-hopping hucksters, my personal interest in Turbine being an outlet for difficult music was waning.

A few of the original items produced for Turbine are still available. In early 2006, I will be reissuing all of the Turbine back catalog on CD-R. Everything will still be hand-assembled and homemade with tender loving care on an order-by-order basis.
